Palworld TCG rules explained — the 2026 update in full
The Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME is a two-player duel played with a 50-card Main Deck and a separate 10-card Soul Deck. You win by depleting your opponent's Soul Deck: each time an attack connects, they flip Souls, and a player who must flip a Soul with none left loses.

The five turn phases, step by step
A Palworld TCG turn runs through five phases in a fixed order: Start Phase, Draw Phase, Soul Phase, Main Phase and End Phase. Attacks, Gear attachments and Structure placement all happen in the Main Phase.

Souls, costs and paying for cards
Souls are the Palworld TCG's resource system. You set one card per turn as a Soul, then rest Souls to pay a card's printed cost — so a cost-5 Legendary Pal is only online once you have five Souls available.

Battles, damage checks and blocking
When a Pal attacks, the defender may block with an eligible Pal. If the attack connects with the player, the defender performs a damage check — flipping Souls equal to the attack's Strike value, which is how the game's life total is spent.

Tournament-legal decks and the July 2026 floor rules
A tournament-legal Palworld TCG deck is exactly 50 Main Deck cards plus exactly 10 Soul Deck cards, maximum four copies per card name, using only cards printed in currently legal products such as EBP01 Dawn of Palpagos and the official Trial Decks.
